Description
What do you imagine when you hear the words “Pleasantly scary”?
Pleasantly scary is to admit you’re in love.
Pleasantly scary is to trust a friend.
Pleasantly scary is not knowing the truth.
Pleasantly scary is being lonely.
Pleasantly scary is to have a dream.
Pleasantly scary is to surrender to fate.
Yana Borisova’s text is a touch upon the subtle aspects of human relationships. The discrepancies in life and the creative, hidden power of solitude are presented with warmth and understanding. In the intimate world of a person, opposites like laughter and sadness, closeness and distance, pleasant and scary are inseparable. Traveling between these extremes, in the play we can find the courage to be genuine in a series of illusions.
